Things You'll Need

Step 1

Place the handle of your skillet face down on your paper. To create the pattern, draw a line around the handle about an inch away. Cut on the line to create a paper pattern for the skillet handle cover.

Step 2

Pin the pattern onto your desired fabric and cut out two pieces for the outside of the skillet handle, two pieces of coordinating fabric for the lining, and 2 pieces of insulated batting for the inside of the handle cover.

Step 3

Place one of the insulated batting pieces down first. Then place one of the outer fabric pieces directly on top of the insulation piece with the right side facing up. Place the next outer fabric piece face down so the right sides are together. Place the second piece of insulated batting on top. Pin the four layers together.

Tip

These handles are not meant to be placed in the oven while baking. Place them on the handle after cooking is complete to pull the skillet out of the oven or off the stove.
