For those environmentally friendly households looking to lose the harsh chemicals from under the sink, the Shark Steam Blaster is a logical choice. Transforming ordinary tap water into a powerful sanitizing cleanser, the Blaster offers a handheld steam cleaning device that can be used to clean and deodorize your kitchen countertops, floors, bathrooms, windows, mirrors and much more. Its simplistic design lends itself to easy operation and maintenance.

Step 1

Fill the Steam Blaster with water. Pop off the safety cap, which is located by the handle on the base. Using the included "filling flask" and funnel, fill the unit with 47 ounces of water and replace the cap. It is important that you do not overfill the unit.

Step 2

Attach the accessory that best fits the cleaning you're looking to do. The squeegee would be best for windows and mirrors, the steam diffuser for countertops and smaller jobs, steam concentrator for heavy jobs and the steam pocket for floors and larger jobs. Attach the selected accessory to the end of the hose.

Step 3

Turn the unit on. You must allow about eight to 10 minutes for the water to reach the steaming temperature; however, if you were to add hot water to begin with, the heating time is drastically reduced.

Step 4

Use quick strokes to clean with. To avoid residual water buildup on surfaces, pass the steam over the surface rather quickly, going over tough spots multiple times as opposed to holding it one place.

Step 5

Never add detergents or bleach to aid your cleaning. The steam power on its own is enough to clean, deodorize and kill bacteria. Adding chemicals is completely unnecessary.
