Use care when cleaning leather furniture.

Unlike vinyl or fabric upholstery, leather is comfortable in both cold and warm weather. Leather furniture can last a lifetime, if properly cared for, and increases in beauty the more it is used. Natuzzi, Italy's largest furniture manufacturer, is the world leader of leather sofas. They produce their sofas by hand, using ancient handcraft traditions. As with all leather furniture, Natuzzi leather requires special care and maintenance in order to keep its special look and feel.

Step 2

Dust the leather periodically with a soft white cloth. Do not use any furniture dust sprays on the leather.

Step 3

Remove dirt or sand by brushing the leather with a soft-bristled brush. Vacuum any remaining dirt or sand using the upholstery tool with medium suction. Do not rub the upholstery tool into the leather, and stop using the vacuum if the upholstery tool leaves marks on the leather.

Step 4

Clean up spills immediately. Blot up water-soluble spills with a clean white rag or paper towel. Moisten a separate white rag with clean water and rub the spill area from the outside towards the center. Dry the area with a clean white towel. Never use heat to hasten drying.

Step 5

Remove greasy spills by blotting up the spill, gently, with a clean white rag or paper towel. Do not push the spill into the leather. Moisten a white rag with water and a neutral, colorless soap and wipe the stain from the outside towards the center. Remove any residual soap with a damp white rag, and then dry the area with a clean white towel. Do not use heat to hasten drying.
