Danze manufactures more than 20 different lines of toilets, vanities, faucets, showerheads and bath accessories. Its designs tend to have high-luster finishers, brass tubing and fittings, and durable ceramic handles. While Danze recommends that any plumbing be done by a licensed professional, its faucets can be installed as a do-it-yourself project with little hassle.

Step 1

Shut off your main water supply before starting. Turn on the faucets to drain as much water from the lines as you can.

Step 2

Place the spout trim ring in your faucet kit on the spout shank, which sticks out from the wall. Loosen the set screw from the spout shank using a hex wrench.

Step 3

Slide the spout body piece back from the end of the spout. Push the spout onto the spout shank and tighten the set screw using your hex wrench. Slide the spout body back until it is against the spout trim ring. To ensure a snug, leak-free fit, wrap pipe tape around the faucet end before inserting it into the faucet shank.

Step 4

Install the handle pieces on the handle valve, which stick out from the wall next to the spout. The pieces are placed on the shank in this order: handle trim ring, sleeve, cap. Place the handle on the valve and tighten the set screw with a hex wrench.

Step 5

Remove the aerator. Turn on the main water and then the new faucet. Allow the water to wash any debris from the line. Turn off the faucet and reassemble the aerator.

Tip

If there is a leak around the edges of the faucet or handle, apply silicone sealant.
