Things You'll Need

  • Chicken wire

  • Wooden stake

  • Staple gun

  • Wire

  • Wire cutters

Chicken wire can be used for many things besides a chicken coop.

Chicken wire is used for fencing in a garden or a chicken yard, or simply can be placed around a yard. It can also be used for many school, home or craft projects. It is a versatile material that is flexible, which is helpful for many projects. A fence can be completed in a day, if it is for a small space, like a garden. Chicken wire can be purchased at most hardware stores. If you can't find it, try a feed store. Because of the holes in the chicken wire, it is simple to connect it to the stakes as well as to other pieces of chicken wire.
