Riding mowers are useful tools when managing a large lawn.

The John Deere Company manufactured and marketed a series of riding lawn mowers under the Scotts Company brand for several years, but ceased doing so in 2002. The family of gasoline powered and bright red riding lawn mowers use John Deere design and engine technology and bear the Scotts and Deere branded logos. Though the mowers are out of production, parts, operations manuals and detailed product support can be found at JohnDeere.com. A link to the Scotts mowers section of the Deere site is provided under Resources.

Parking and Turning off Your Scotts Mower

Step 1

Park the mower on level ground--never on a slope. Lift the disengage lever to retract the cutting blades and lower any attachments to the ground so the unit is stable.

Step 3
