Step 1

Paint one outside face of the cardboard box completely white. This will form the background for other designs.

Paint a black 1/2-inch border around the painted face of the cardboard box.

Paint two vertical black lines that divide the painted side into three equally sized rectangles. These represent the viewing windows of the slot machine.

Step 4

Paint a vertical series of three different types of fruits in each viewing window. Many slot machines use images of fruit to determine the positions of the reels and the resulting payout.
