  • 1 cup baking soda

  • 1 cup cornstarch

  • 1/2 cup water

  • Mixing bowl

  • Small play bowls

Step 1

Measure 1 cup of baking soda. Scrape off any excess and level the cup before pouring it into the mixing bowl.

Measure 1 cup of cornstarch. Keep the measuring cup level and add to the bowl. Combine contents of the bowl evenly.

Measure out 1/2 cup room temperature water. Slowly add water 1/8 cup at a time to thedry ingredients. Adding too much water to the mixture will result in a watery substance rather than goo.

Step 4

Mix all ingredients in the bowl with your hands until the desired consistency is reached. Add more water if necessary. Color the goo using a few drops of food coloring for an extra touch.

Step 5

Distribute goo evenly to small bowls for students or children. Provide paper towel for any mess that is created.
