Make a citrus-based costume that's interesting and creative.

Dressing as a lemon for Halloween is unusual -- it is likely you won't see anyone with a duplicate outfit. Creating your own lemon costume is an inventive way to ensure you are doing something different this year. For a funny group costume idea, have a few friends go as other pieces of fruit, such as an apple, orange and strawberry. This is an appropriate costume for children as well as adults, and can be modified as necessary for all ages and sizes.

Step 1

Pull on green tights and a green leotard. These are the base of the costume.

Step 2

Using a glue gun, glue a few leaves to the yellow sweatshirt. Let the glue dry for 10 minutes, and then put on the yellow sweatshirt. This is the actual lemon, and the centerpiece of the costume.

Step 3

Stuff the sweatshirt to make it appear round using rolled-up T-shirts or newspapers. This will give the costume more shape. Put on a belt, low on the hips and under the stuffing, to ensure the stuffing does not fall out of the sweatshirt.

Step 4

Using a hot glue gun, glue artificial leaves to a yellow beanie hat. Let the glue dry for 10 minutes. Put on the hat to complete your lemon costume.

Warning

The hot glue gun should only be used by adults.
