Booth

Step 1

Wear a dark man's dress suit for the foundation of your Booth costume. Since Booth works for the FBI, his "uniform" of choice is almost always a black or navy blue conservative suit with a white dress shirt.

Step 2

Put on a pair of brightly colored socks. One of Booth's signature quirks is that he likes to put his own fashion spin on the FBI dress code, so pairing a dark suit with neon socks is a very Booth-like thing to do.

Step 3

Add a belt buckle with a picture of a rooster and the word "Cocky." You can make one by cutting a small rectangle out of cardboard. Paint it cherry red with silver trim. Once the red paint dries, paint "Cocky" in silver. Then tape the cardboard buckle over your existing belt.

Step 4

Finish Booth's outfit off with a pair of dark sunglasses. Even if you have to be indoors, you can keep them on or at least on display in your suit pocket.

Step 5

Use hair gel to arrange your hair in a spiky fashion if you are able to do so. Booth's hair is professional and almost militaristic but it still has a little bit of upward style.

Bones

Step 1

Wear a pair of women's khaki pants and a long-sleeved, fitted T-shirt to start your Bones costume off right. Bones often wears a lower-cut tee with a tank underneath, so if you can add that element to your outfit, you will mimic her well.

Step 2

Accessorize with Bones's signature jewelry pieces. Dr. Brennan is a well-traveled woman, so her jewelry often looks exotic or tribal. Put on a necklace made of large, chunky stone beads or a pair of dangling earrings to copy Bones's jewelry preferences.

Step 3

Put a lab coat on over your outfit. Bones wears a royal blue lab coat along with the other members of the staff at the Jeffersonian. Fill a large plastic pail halfway with hot water. Stir in blue powdered fabric dye until it is all completely dissolved. Soak a white lab coat in the pail for 1 to 2 hours. Then hang the coat on an outside clothesline to dry. Use rubber gloves to avoid getting dye on your hands.

Step 4

Carry a plastic skull in your hand to fully accessorize your outfit and leave no room for question that you are, indeed, "Bones."

Tip

Create a fake badge with a photo of David Boreanz and text that reads, "Seeley Booth, FBI Special Agent." This will leave no question as to who you are.

Use a marker to draw or a needle and thread to embroider the name "Bones" on the lab coat. There will be no mistake as to your identity.
