Keep your own fingerprint or a loved one's fingerprint wrapped around your finger by creating a one-of-a-kind fingerprint ring. These rings can be beautiful keepsakes and a symbol of affection, but they can also keep your jewelry unique to you. With a few tools and some oven bake clay found at an arts and crafts store, you can create any type of jewelry from a ring to a bracelet to a necklace.

Step 1

Roll a thick piece of oven bake clay into a ball with your hands.

Use a needle to cut a circle out of the middle of the ball, large enough to fit your finger through.

Step 3

Shape the remaining portion of the the clay to form a ring with a wide band.

Step 4

Press your finger into one side of the band to form a fingerprint.

Step 5

Cover a baking pan with parchment paper and place the clay ring onto the foil.

Step 6

Bake the ring following the directions on the oven bake clay package.

Step 7

Let the ring cool for approximately 30 minutes. Use a metallic spray paint if you desire the appearance of metal. If not, leave the ring plain.

Step 8

Spray with a clear acrylic sealer to seal and let dry for several hours before wearing.
