Ship, Captain, Mate and Crew

Video of the Day

Each player will shake five dice in a dice cup. Each player gets three shakes. The idea is to get a six (ship), five (captain), four (mate) and the last two dice will total the number of crew members. The ship, captain, mate and crew must come in that order. For instance, if the player rolls a five, four, two, one and three, the player must shake again until he gets a six (ship) before getting the five next, four after that and then the crew. After three shakes, the dice are passed to the next player. The winner is the player with the highest amount of crew members. In the event of a tie, the winners will do a one dump tie breaker or play another full round of three shakes each.

7, 14, 21 Dice Game

The dice game 7, 14, 21 is played with a dice cup and five dice. You should have at least three players to make it fun. The first player shakes the dice. If the player has any aces (one dot on the die), each one is counted (1, 2). The player shakes again (all dice, every shake). Continue the count up of any more aces (3, 4, 5). The player keeps shaking until he stops getting aces and passes the dice to the next player. The next player continues the count. If the player rolls two aces, the count will be 6, 7. The player to count the seventh dice calls the shot, the person to roll the 11th dice buys the shot and the person to count the 21st dice drinks the shot. When the player who is counting says "17," that dice is put in the center along with 18, 19, 20 and 21 no matter who throws them. The last five numbers will reduce the number of dice rolled.

Bar Dice (Aces Must Beat)

The game can be played with a minimum of two people and there is no maximum. The first player shakes five dice. In order to start the game, the player must have an ace (1). If no aces are showing, the player shakes again. Each player gets three shakes while trying to get the best hand possible, but the player can stop on one shake or two shakes if the hand looks promising. Each player thereafter tries to get the highest hand. Note: Each dice that is used to make the hand is set aside and not rolled with the remaining dice. For example, if you roll an ace (1), 5, 4, 6 and 2, you can keep out the ace and the five. You would shake the remaining three dice or keep the ace only and shake all four dice again.

For instance, if the first player rolled three fives (1-5-5) in one shake, the second player rolls four sixes in three shakes and the third player shakes four aces in two shakes, the first player is the winner because he rolled three fives in one shake and will sit out round two while the two lowest players shake the next round. After the two remaining players finish round two, the loser then buys a round of drinks for all players. The game does not have straights, full houses or two pairs, only two of a kind, three of a kind, four of a kind or five of a kind.
