A strong industrial glue like E6000 will secure the glass to the metal. With the flat side of the glass facing up, apply glue to the entire surface.

Push the glass insert into the lip of the cuff link. As you push, the bubbles will squeeze out to the sides. Let it set for about five minutes and then clean the leftover glue with an adhesive remover such as Goo Gone.
